General

How long does each RenDezvous visit last?

For the Face to Face consultations, your initial visit will be 90 minutes; each follow-up visit (six total) will last 30 minutes.

For the Voice to Voice consultations, each of your three phone discussions will last 30 minutes.

Can I call or e-mail you for support anytime?

Yes! You're welcome to drop us an e-mail at any point in the program, and we'll do our best to respond promptly. Keep in mind that lengthy concerns are best dealt with in our phone conversations, while the quick yes-or-no questions are easy to field via e-mail.

Does this program provide me with meal plans?

Throughout the program, we'll provide you with great meal and snack ideas. You'll also receive a detailed one-week menu plan. In our experience, clients are most likely to succeed if we incorporate the good foods they're already eating rather than imposing drastic, wholesale changes. So be prepared to discuss your likes and dislikes.

Should I start the High-Fiber Cleanse as soon as I receive it...or wait until later in the program?

You can begin as soon as you receive your cleanse kit. Whenever possible, we recommend that our clients start the program on a weekend. The first two days are the most difficult, and it's a good idea to spend those days away from work - where you won't be sidelined by hunger pangs.

Will I receive feedback on my "try this at home" assignments throughout the program?

Yes! During each phone conversation, we'll review what you've accomplished on the days between appointments, then make a plan to move forward.

What happens if I have to cancel my phone or in-person appointment?

When a client misses an appointment unexpectedly, another client loses out.

As a courtesy to ALL our clients, we require 24-hour advance notice to cancel a scheduled visit. If you contact us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, we're happy to reschedule you for the earliest available time.

If not, you will be charged for the full visit.

This applies to both our Face to Face (in-person) and Voice to Voice (phone) programs. We make every effort to accommodate our clients' needs and excuse their emergencies - we're all human. All we ask is your best effort to keep your commitments.

Voice to Voice

What are the advantages to counseling over the phone, rather than by e-mail? Aren't phone consults more expensive?

Short of meeting in person, phone conversations are ideal. Voice-to-voice communication allows information to be passed from one person to the other quickly and informally.

Some clients prefer phone consultations to in-person meetings: They offer the warmth of human interaction, but just enough distance to disclose personal (at times uncomfortable) information with more ease.

In our experience, e-mail correspondence is too ambiguous in tone and intent to truly forge that trust relationship between client and coach. E-mail can, however, be helpful in maintaining a relationship once that trust has been established.

Which days and hours can I schedule the phone appointments?

We're flexible. We can schedule calls in the early morning, late evening, during regular business hours or on weekends. Our only "blackout" days are Sundays and major holidays.

Am I expected to respond to each daily e-mail?

No, the daily emails you received are informational and motivational tutorials - they don't require a reply. However, we DO expect you to complete the periodic assignments in the e-mails in order to get the most out of the 8 weeks.

"Grocery tour"? I've been shopping for 23 years - I think I know my way around a supermarket.

The modern supermarket is a barrage of new food items and deceptive health claims; most everyone would benefit from an interpreter. Nearly every client who takes the grocery tour leaves a bit wiser.
